Products for Green Building

It guarantees construction materials that aim to reduce emissions while respecting the environment, health and safety of workers and end users.

INFORMATION

The  Certification of Products for Green Building  issued in accordance with the  Standards of the National Association of Bioecological Architecture  has as its objective the enhancement of construction products in a context in which there is a growing attention by operators and consumers for the issues of protection of the environment.

At the same time it intends:

  • promoting  a qualitative improvement of construction products;
  • highlight  the characteristics of the products, processes and technologies aimed at reducing the environmental impact at each stage of its life cycle;
  • protect  the end user by reducing all possible health risks and making the environmental information on green building materials transparent.

Certifiable products

Construction Products identified in the product areas defined in Annex IV of EU Reg. N. 305/2011 , which comply with the criteria established in the ANAB-ICEA General Standard and in the specific Standards by product category.

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

Initial evaluation of products and production process.
In this phase it is verified that the product responds to the declared use, is mainly obtained from natural raw materials and / or secondary materials, and does not release dangerous substances for man and the environment

Evaluation of the product life cycle.
Applying the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology, the environmental profile of the product is drawn up through which the flows of matter and energy identified along the entire life cycle of the product are sorted, classified and aggregated into different categories of environmental impact, also called aggregate impact indicators.

On-site inspection.
On-site inspection, which is aimed at ascertaining the correct organization and management of the manufacturing processes and internal procedures that could compromise the conformity of the product itself with the requirements defined in the standard.

Issuance of the Certificate of Conformity.
Issuance of the Certificate of Conformity on the basis of the information and data collected as part of the evaluation and verification process.
