Production or integrated agriculture is a voluntary production system that assures the consumer that products are grown using agronomic techniques that respect the environment and human health.
INFORMATION

The National Quality System for Integrated Production (SQNPI) was established by Law no. 4 of 3 February 2011 (art. 2) with the aim of certifying agricultural and agro-industrial productions, obtained in accordance with the integrated production standard, which uses all means of production and defence of agricultural production from adversities, aimed at minimising the use of synthetic chemical substances and rationalising fertilisation, in compliance with ecological, economic and toxicological principles.
The companies that can adhere to the integrated production system either individually or in associated form (e.g. associations, consortia, cooperatives) are: producers, processors, packers and distributors in the case of products marketed in bulk. The technical document that companies can refer to is the IPR of their own region because with the Ministerial Decree of 8 May 2014 an ‘equivalence regime’ was established between the regional quality systems of integrated production and the SQNPI.
