Forest and chain of custody certification

ICEA operates as an inspection body on behalf of  Soil Association Certification Ltd , an internationally accredited certification body, for the certification of forests or forest plantations, and products of forestry origin or wood derivatives in compliance with with environmental, social and economic principles and criteria.

  • The FSC® N002714 standard issued by the Forest Stewardship Council®,  certifies products containing wood from forests managed in a correct and responsible manner, according to rigorous environmental, social and economic standards.
  • The PEFC ™ standard, Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, certifies processors and forest owners ensuring that the material of forest and arboreal origin comes from sustainably managed forests.

The products affected by these certification standars are all products of forest origin, woody and non-woody: management of forests and plantations, wood panels, wood furniture, parquet, pellets, wooden crates and boxes, wood pulp , paper and cardboard, cellulose fibers, fungi, soil, rubber and other non-wood forest products.
