Delinat (Switzerland, Germany, Austria)

Delinat (Switzerland, Germany, Austria)

Complete name of the scheme Delinat.

It certifies organic grape cultivation, organic wine production.

To export and market organic wines in Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

What it is certified

The Standard Delinat (Deli = Delikatesse, Nat = Natur) is a private specification adopted by the Swiss company Denilat, specialises in the marketing of organic wines on the Swiss, Austrian and German markets. Wines are mainly marketed online.

The specification provides for stricter requirements than EU legislation, both as regards organic grape cultivation and organic wine production. The Denilat standard also includes corporate responsibility requirements.

Denilat has commissioned the Swiss certification body Bio-Inspecta, to carry out inspections to provide customers with an independent control and certification system. Bio-Inspecta, in turn, instructs other control bodies for inspection activities in the various countries of production. ICEA is one of the bodies authorised to inspect on the Italian territory.

The trademark must be applied for directly from Delinat company.
Usually it is Delinat itself, after the first commercial contacts, to request this additional certification from the potential supplier.

The costs of control and certification at all suppliers are borne directly by Delinat.
