A topic that has always been close to ICEA<\/span><span class=\"s5\">\u2019<\/span><span class=\"s4\">s heart, the organisation is once again renewing its partnership with the Summit this year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s6\"><span class=\"s4\">The event will be structured around <\/span><strong><span class=\"s2\">four thematic sessions<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s4\"> \u2013 <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Sustainability Impacts, Food Ingredients, Ethical Sourcing &amp; Biodiversity and Marketing Trends <\/span><span class=\"s4\">\u2013 <\/span><span class=\"s4\">featuring a programme that brings together environmental sustainability, ingredient innovation, biodiversity protection and marketing strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s6\"><span class=\"s4\">Proceedings will open with the <\/span><strong><span class=\"s2\">Sustainability Impacts session<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s4\">, examining the different ways in which companies and industry operators are addressing the impacts of their activities on sustainability, with particular emphasis on environmental aspects. Key topics will include decarbonisation of ingredient supply chains, the water footprint of food products, measuring the impact of plastics in packaging and updates on environmental footprint labelling. The agenda will also feature practical case studies and panel discussions exploring the economic implications of sustainable choices.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s6\"><span class=\"s4\">Attention will then turn to the<\/span><strong><span class=\"s2\"> f<\/span><span class=\"s2\">ood ingredients of the future<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"s4\">, including precision fermentation, upcycling and new alternatives such as bean-free cocoa and coffee.
